The early years of parenting are a whirlwind of joy, exhaustion, and countless questions. However, you’re not alone! Often called a Sleep School, for over 100 years, Tweddle has been Victoria’s trusted Early Parenting Centre (EPC), supporting families through every joy, exhaustion, and question along the way. We understand that every journey is unique, and we’re here to guide you with compassion and support.
Beyond Sleep (Though We Do That Too!)
While sleep often tops the list of concerns for new parents, it’s just one piece of the puzzle. Tweddle goes beyond being a “sleep school” to offer holistic support that encompasses the physical, emotional, and social wellbeing of babies, toddlers and families. Our qualified and compassionate team, comprised of nurses, lactation consultants, psychologists, and early childhood professionals, works together to create tailored solutions that address a wide range of challenges and concerns.

- Feeding and introducing solids: From navigating breastfeeding or bottle-feeding challenges to introducing solids smoothly, our experts can answer your questions and offer reassurance every step of the way.
- Irritability and fussy babies: Sometimes, babies cry, and it can be hard to know why. We can help you decipher their cues, understand their needs, and implement strategies to soothe and calm them.
- Parenting exhaustion: The demands of parenthood can be draining. We offer emotional support, practical tips, and self-care strategies to help you manage stress and recharge your batteries.

Tweddle’s Vision and Foundations
Tweddle’s vision is secure babies, strong families and safe communities. Nurturing baby/caregiver relationships through strengthening relationships and building the foundations for resilient families and communities. The foundations of Tweddle’s programs and services are based on infant mental health, secure attachment and building resilience. Tweddle provides over 15 different early parenting programs supporting over 4,000 mums, dads, babies and toddlers every year.
Starting Your Supportive Journey with Tweddle
Tweddle is a state-wide Early Parenting Centre supporting you and your family with sleep and settling, health and wellbeing, behaviour, attachment and other challenges relating to your baby, toddler or preschooler.
You can self-refer to Tweddle or speak with your GP, Maternal and Child Health Nurse or Family Services support worker who can also refer to Tweddle. Please contact Tweddle on (03) 9689 1577. Tweddle adheres to strict health protocols across programs. These include:
- Asking questions regarding your current health status prior to your program
- A commitment to respiratory hygiene and hand hygiene.

Our Family Programs
Tweddle is a statewide Early Parenting Centre here to support you and your family throughout the transition from pregnancy to parenting. We address a range of concerns such as sleep and settling, health and wellbeing, behaviour, and attachment-related challenges for your baby, toddler, or preschooler.
 
					Our focus is on early intervention and prevention, targeting sleep and settling, building strong attachments, enhancing resilience, and helping you decipher your baby’s cues.
 
					Spend the day with fellow parents, all navigating the challenges of parenthood. Our focus is on supporting each other and empowering your family.
 
					Our experienced Tweddle Practitioners offer 30-minute telephone consultations, providing support and guidance on sleep and settling, parenting uncertainty, and various other issues.
 
					Tweddle’s no-cost in-home support is a valuable program offering two 2-hour home visits to families across the West. We provides gentle solutions to various parenting concerns.
 
					Early Help Family Service is a collaborative program by Anglicare Victoria, Victorian Aboriginal Child Care Agency (VACCA), and Tweddle, offering inclusive support to families in Western Melbourne with children aged 0-18.
 
					Getting ready for a baby and becoming a parent can be challenging. The GGB&K team helps growing families access tailored support anytime during pregnancy and the first few weeks after the baby is born.
 
					Looking for a way to build stronger bonds with your little one, while having fun and connecting with other parents? This free 8-week program welcomes mums, dads, foster parents, and primary carers with babies and toddlers aged 8 months to 2 years.
 
					We offer a wide range of education classes to provide the best care for parents before and after the birth of their baby.
