World Sleep Day is Friday 14th March. For parents, prioritising sleep might seem obvious, yet the reality of parenthood often turns restful nights into sleep deprivation.

At Tweddle, we’re here to support parents and babies in achieving better sleep. Evidence shows that quality sleep is essential for adult well-being, impacting relationships, mental health, concentration, and memory.

A baby or toddler’s sleep is very important for their brain growth, motor skills, social and emotional development and bonding.

Sleep restores children physically. It helps them learn and remember things, and it boosts immunity. And sleep helps children grow. For example, children’s bodies produce growth hormone when they’re asleep. Babies and children of all ages need to get enough sleep so they can play, learn and concentrate during the day.

To help parents with sleep, a range of Sleep and Settling fact sheets are available in ten community languages on Tweddle’s family resources hub Sleep and Settling – Your Baby, Toddler and Preschooler.

If your family could use support with sleep routines, understanding sleep cues, or learning how daily activities influence night-time rest, contact us to talk about which of our programs best suits your family.
