Tweddle Child and Family Health Service proudly announces the appointment of Liz Murdoch as its new Chief Executive Officer, marking a significant milestone for the organisation. With over 30 years of distinguished experience in the health sector, Liz brings a wealth of expertise and a steadfast commitment to Tweddle’s mission of promoting the health and wellbeing of babies, toddlers and families.

Liz’s professional journey includes a pivotal role overseeing the O’Connell Family Centre (Mercy Health – Early Parenting Centre) within her portfolio of responsibilities at Mercy Health, in addition to serving on the Board of Queen Elizabeth Centre. Amongst others, these roles have informed a deep knowledge and commitment to the Early Parenting Centre landscape and strong alignment with Tweddle’s commitment to providing exceptional care to families.

Further, Liz’s early career as a speech pathologist adds a professional depth to her leadership and service delivery knowledge. Together with her background in executive leadership in operations and quality, and more recently Executive roles at the Victorian Department of Health, uniquely positions her to guide Tweddle through a period of growth and beyond.

Tweddle Board Chair, Annette Vickery, expressed her enthusiasm about Liz’s appointment, stating, “Liz’s extensive experience, deep sectoral knowledge, and passion for clinical practice excellence make her the ideal leader to guide Tweddle through this exciting phase of new growth.”

As Tweddle bids farewell to the Interim CEO, Umit Agis, who played a crucial role in maintaining momentum during this transitional period, Liz Murdoch is set to assume her role on January 15th, 2024.
