‘All In’ is the Reconciliation Australia theme for National Reconciliation Week (NRW) 2026, making clear that reconciliation is not a spectator sport. At Tweddle, National Reconciliation Week will be honoured with several events.
Cultural Talk and Welcome to Country with Kobi Sainty, contemporary Bunurong artist, cultural educator, and community leader and Tweddle RAP Working Group Member Kobi Sainty
On Tuesday June 2nd we will welcome Kobi Sainty, contemporary Bunurong artist, cultural educator, and community leader to deliver a Cultural Talk, Artefact Sharing session, and a Q&A designed to create an open and welcoming conversation with staff around culture, history, identity, and connection to Country. Kobi’s work focuses on connection to Country, storytelling, culture, and community through a modern artistic lens.
The session will provide staff and families with the opportunity to engage in authentic conversations, ask questions in a respectful environment, and gain a deeper understanding of Bunurong culture and perspectives.
Kobi is passionate about creating culturally safe and engaging environments where people feel comfortable to listen, learn, ask questions, and connect through honest conversations and shared experiences. The sessions aim to support learning, reflection, and genuine connection while contributing to the ongoing journey of reconciliation and understanding within the workplace and wider community.
We first met Kobi when he was commissioned to enhance cultural safety for Tweddle’s Wyndham EPC, creating a range of murals and artworks reflecting Country, Community and family. Kobi explains his wonderful creations and process in this mini-documentary filmed onsite at Wyndham.
Since then, Kobi has joined Tweddle’s RAP Working Group, provided drawings for our Reflect and Innovate RAP, and is always on hand to provide guidance and knowledge.
