Tweddle will read the referral and may ask for additional information or reports to:

  • Determine if the family meet the eligibility criteria (stable mental health, stable accommodation, no current drug and alcohol issues/two weeks of clean screens, no current concerns in relation to harm to self or others)
  • Gain information to strengthen the report provided to Child Protection
  • Tweddle may request a pre-admission meeting with the family and/or Child Protection (this may be related to establishing a risk assessment, and/or for families who are anxious and nervous about coming to Tweddle and can meet Tweddle staff and see where they will be staying)

NB: when sending a referral, where possible, please send a copy of the following:

  • Neuropsychology report
  • MARAM
  • Last mental health assessment
  • Any Paediatric reports and/or discharge summaries
  • NDIS plans
  • Maternal and Child Health Reports
