The 2023 Children’s Week theme is “Children have the right to relax, play and to take part in activities they enjoy” based on Article 31 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.
As part of Children’s Week, Tweddle will be delivering an educational parenting play and learn session and morning tea for parents of babies and toddlers. The session, based on Playsteps, will show parents how play builds resilience and fine motor skills, how play can help babies, toddlers, children and their parents relax, and how play strengthens attachment which is vital for positive mental health.

Tweddle’s Children’s Week Playgroup will include song, stories, and play and a chance to meet other parents. You can explore your child’s cues, learn about ‘serve return’ and share experiences with other parents. There will be time to ask questions and chat with Tweddle Early Parenting Practitioners.
