Early Parenting Practitioner – 48 hours/fortnight (0.6 EFT)

Tweddle is seeking an innovative, positive, passionate and enthusiastic Early Parenting Practitioner to be part of the growth and development of Tweddle.

Tweddle Child & Family Health Service is one of only three Early Parenting Centres in Victoria.  If you are passionate about the importance of parenting in the early years and committed to working to support and nurture individuals in order to help build harmonious, respectful and productive communities, then join the workforce at Tweddle.

You will be a confident and collaborative worker with qualifications in Early Childhood Development, Youth Worker or Degree in Psychology/Social Work.  You will be working within a multidisciplinary team, have knowledge and experience in working in partnership with vulnerable families and have skills and knowledge in the area of attachment/infant mental health and its effects on the parent child relationship.

Registered Nurse/Team Leader – 48 hours/fortnight (0.6 EFT)

  • An experienced Registered Nurse (Division 1) with post-graduate qualifications in Child and Family Health Nursing?
  • Pursuing a career in an Early Parenting Centre?
  • Keen to work with parents of children aged 0-4 years in a 5-day residential program?
  • Seeking a position where you provide education, support and supervision to a great team of Early Parenting Practitioners?
  • Have a keen interest in infant mental health and early attachment theory?

If you answered yes to all of the above, then Tweddle Child and Family Health Service invites you to apply to join Tweddle as a Registered Nurse/Team Leader.

Tweddle Child and Family Health Service is located in Footscray and offers a range of specialist early parenting programs to families who are experiencing difficulties with parenting their children up to school age.

Programs include residential, day long and sessional groups delivered at Tweddle or in local communities, collaboratively with local government, community organisations or health services. Staff may be required to work across programs and in various locations.

The role, as part of a dynamic multidisciplinary direct service team, is responsible for coordinating the delivery of parenting services to vulnerable families with complex needs, in an efficient and effective manner and in accordance with regulatory requirements. They provide supervision and support to Early Childhood Practitioners in the delivery of parenting services to families.

As a minimum you will be a Division 1 Registered Nurse possessing current and appropriate endorsements to practice as a registered nurse, plus maternal and child health nurse or child and family health nurse. Highly desirable will be a sound knowledge of infant mental health, Best Interest Practice Framework, working in partnership with families, and experience in staff supervision.

Operations and Facilities Coordinator (Full Time – no ADO)

As the Operations and Facilities Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of contract and facilities management for our organisation. You will be responsible for coordinating IT through an external contract for IT services. It is also desirable that the occupant be aware of procurement policies as they relate to public health services. The occupant is expected to coordinate and control allocated resources, contribute to business process development, OH&S compliance and provide high quality service delivery through the provision of detailed advice.
