Tweddle expand programs to care for more families in Centenary Year

By Kerrie Gottliebsen

2020 will be a big year for Tweddle as we expand our programs to care for more families and deliver professional development to more health professionals.

In early 2020 Tweddle will be launching our ‘Working Out Parenting’ program, a new therapeutic on-site group for dads of babies and toddlers admitted to a residential program with thanks to the Collier Charitable Fund.

The after-hours weekly dads’ program will include an hour of facilitated discussion, text messages, resources, a personal trainer and access to a new on-site Health and Wellbeing centre.

We are also looking forward to running two 8 week Playsteps programs for Brimbank families with thanks to support from a Brimbank Communities for Children Facilitating Partner (CfC FP) grant.

Working Out Dads will deliver two additional programs in the first six months of 2020 with thanks to the Helen Macpherson Smith Trust. Tweddle is offering training in NCAST PCI and Family Partnership training commencing February 2020.

In addition to these new programs, Tweddle will be announcing various Centenary celebrations for families, past and present staff and other stakeholders.

Stay tuned by following Tweddle on Facebook for the latest announcements.

Please contact Manager Community Programs Le Ann Williams from January 6th January 2020 with any questions regarding Working Out Dads or Playsteps Brimbank or phone Tweddle on 03) 9689 1577.

Tweddles Professional Development training calendar includes dates for February and March 2020 with early bird tickets now on offer.
