What is Brimbank Playsteps ?

The Brimbank Playsteps program is a free parent-child group where families can have fun, share parenting experiences and learn together.

The Playsteps program runs for 8 weeks and has a focus on having fun and strengthening parent-child relationships. The group is facilitated by Play and Early Parenting Practitioners.

Who is Playsteps for?

Mums, dads, foster parents, or a primary carer with a baby or child between 8 months and 2 years. We welcome families from Albion, Ardeer, Cairnlea, Deer Park, Derrimut, St. Abans, Sunshine, Sunshine North, Sunshine West and Sydenham.

What will I get out of Playsteps?

An opportunity to build positive bonding times with my baby or toddler through play, stories and music
Time to develop my understanding of baby and toddler cues and ways to respond
A fun way to share parenting experiences in an informal setting
Build my confidence and enjoyment in my parenting role
Make friends

Bookings and dates for 2023

Time 9.30 am – 11.30 am Dates (Tuesdays)

Term 2 – 4

Term two: 9th May- 27th June
Term three: 11th July – 29th Aug
Term four: 3rd Oct – 28th Nov (Public Holiday on 7th of Nov for Cup Day)

Where – the Groups will take place at the Sunshine MCHN Centre at 31a Alexandra Ave Sunshine 3020
