Mums and Dads invited to join Circle of Security Parenting Program

With thanks to the Collier Charitable Fund, Tweddle are inviting parents of infants, toddlers and pre-schoolers to tune in and connect with their child at a parenting program called Circle of Security. Parents can learn about their child's emotional needs, strengthen attachment, understand cues and enjoy being in the moment.The 10am-midday, 8 week program starts on April 27th. Read more...

Government Roadmap for Reform prioritises earlier support for struggling families

Tweddle welcomes a new range of measures announced on the 13th of April by the Andrews Labor Government. In particular, increased in-home support services for vulnerable families and extra child protection workers ensuring that Victorian families are as safe as possible. Tweddle CEO Ms Jacquie O’Brien acknowledged the Roadmap for Reform: strong families, safe children in spelling out the importance of services working together, driving family centred approaches, and protecting children as early as possible. “As a public hospital delivering evidence based front line in home and residential interventions for vulnerable babies, toddlers and their families, Tweddle commends the initiatives as a positive start” CEO Jacquie O’Brien said today.Read more...

Tweddle Baby Jim Hevey documents 95 years of history in Tweddle Tribute

Tweddle's 95 year history has been documented in an incredibly generous gesture by Tweddle baby Jim Hevey. Jim was alerted to Tweddle’s 95th Birthday celebrations in the local paper asking for Tweddle babies to get in contact with their stories. Jim was born 11 weeks premature and admitted to Tweddle on the 9th of August 1939. 77 years later, Jim credits Tweddle with saving his life. The 116 page historical book is available to purchase for $25 as a Tweddle fundraiser.Read more...
