Tweddle staff embraced Cultural Competence Training this week with Uncle Reg, elder of the Melbourne aboriginal community. Uncle Reg exuded an aura of warmth, care and knowledge. He has the rare ability to weave a story that touches your soul and has you asking questions of yourself, your community, your culture, your identity. We were in good hands.

MyTime is a peer support group for parents of children with a disability or chronic medical condition. The focus of Tweddle's six groups is you, the parent or carer. It's about taking time out and sharing things you know other people in your group will understand. Relax with a tea or coffee and make new friends. Your child can enjoy sensory play and explore in a safe and fun environment with an experienced play helper.

Tweddle has passed the first hurdle in the The Bank of Melbourne's ‘The Local Project’ competition, to help fund a parenting guide in four languages, but we need your help. Vote for us in the ‘education’ category by following the attached link - If we receive the most votes, we’ll get the grant. Parenting is tough in any language. Christmas has come early this year with a generous donation of 24 beautifully hand knitted jumpers from Fay Stankovich. These jumpers will be distributed to families with toddlers attending a Tweddle program. Donations like these help Tweddle continue to support over 4,000 Victorian families every year.
